For as long as I can remember, I have been eager to capture life’s great moments through a snapshot. Despite what we would all like to believe, no matter how hard we try, memories fade with age. Photography speaks to me because memories are precious and with a click of a camera, I can provide something tangible to people that will help their memories remain vivid.

I am passionate about taking a unique approach and believe the best photographs are the unplanned ones that convey raw emotion. The most satisfying shoots for me are ones in which I’m able to make the subject feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. I have had extensive experience shooting families, babies, high school seniors and weddings.

I take great pride in my coursework at the University of Missouri majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. It has helped me flourish as a designer and photographer by pushing myself to think more creatively. The photojournalism courses I have taken have taught me to see life through my lens in ways that I never expected and has showed me the importance of showing not telling life’s stories. My knowledge about design has expanded dramatically which I am able to utilize and portray in shoots to make them unique and exceed client expectations.

While I am still a student, I plan to keep getting as much hands on experience as I can. I look forward to intensifying my skills and to continue leaving a lasting impression in people’s lives.
